/><p>The Linguistics Institute of the School of Philosophy and
Literature at University of Buenos Aires invites all researches who
study language from an experimental perspective to participate in the
First Language Processing Research Groups Meeting. The meeting will be
a tribute to Dr. Juan Seguí, pioneer in psycholinguistic studies, and
will take place on May 4th, 5th and 6th 2011 at Buenos Aires,
Argentina.<br /><br />The meeting aims to provide a space for
presenting and discussing current and innovative researches into
linguistic acquisition and processing, language neurosciences,
acquired and developmental impairments, computational linguistics and
natural language processing, in every area of the linguistic system
–phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics– and their relation with
other cognitive systems, such as attention and memory. <br /><br />The
purpose of the meeting is to initiate a process of integration among
the teams and researchers and knowledge of current researches within
the region, in order to facilitate collaboration and exchange between
the different disciplines that promote the development of the
field.<br /><br />- Call for contributors submissions<br />Submission
of abstracts for oral presentations (20 minutes for the lecture, plus
10 minutes for discussion) and posters is called. Since there won´t
be simultaneous sessions, poster presentations are especially
encouraged. <br />- General terms for abstract submission<br
/>Abstracts, between 300 and 450 words, written in Spanish or
Portuguese, should be sent through the meeting’s webpage:
www.prolen.com.ar <br />- Deadlines<br />The deadline for submitting
abstracts is February 15th, 2011. The received proposals will be
evaluated. Notifications will be sent to authors, starting March 5th,
