/><b>Descripción</b><br /><p> El problema de las categorías se
ha estudiado siempre asociado a Aristóteles. Modernamente el estudio
de las relaciones lenguaje-pensamiento ha suscitado el interés por la
función que desempeñan las categorías en el mismo. Este libro se
plantea el problema de la realidad de las categorías, visto desde una
perspectiva múltiple: como elementos dirigidos a un fin, que
constituyen un decir, responden al saber originario de los hablantes,
pertenecen a una lengua, manifiestan un modo de pensar, y son
instrumentos del conocer. En el presente libro se estudian cuatro
sistemas de categorías, a saber: las categorías de Aristóteles, las
de los cognitivistas, las categorías de «la razón vital» de Ortega
y Gasset y las que en este libro son referidas como las categorías
