/><b>Descripción</b><br /><p> El éxito comercial experimentado
por la música rap en las últimas décadas se ha visto acompañado
por una importante proliferación de raperos pertenecientes a otros
grupos étnicos, sin que este género musical haya perdido por ello la
sólida vinculación con la comunidad afroamericana donde se originó.
La centralidad del componente oral en el rap ha convertido al inglés
afroamericano (AAVE) en objeto de apropiación por parte de raperos
no-afroamericanos que buscan acreditar su autenticidad. En este libro
se investiga, mediante la aplicación de parámetros
sociolingüísticos, la existencia de procesos de language crossing
realizados por raperos blancos en el contexto de Estados Unidos. Para
ello se han creado dos corpus de análisis: uno con composiciones de
raperos afroamericanos y otro con composiciones de raperos
europeoamericanos. El estudio contrastivo de ambos corpus y el
procesamiento de sus datos a través de WordSmith Tools ha permitido
comparar la utilización que los dos grupos de raperos hacen de
ciertos rasgos lingüísticos asociados al AAVE y constatar la
existencia de patrones lingüísticos convergentes y divergentes. Los
resultados obtenidos permiten profundizar en las implicaciones de
identidad derivadas de estos procesos lingüísticos.</p><br
