/><b>Descripción</b><br /><p> The university of Liverpool is
advertising three posts in Hispanic Studies and one of the areas in
which they would like to appoint is Hispanic Linguistics.<br /><br
/>The posts are at the level of LECTURER or SENIOR LECTURER. <br /><br
/>We are looking to recruit scholars with expertise in any period or
aspect of Peninsular Spanish Studies, Latin American Studies and
Comparative American Studies. We are particularly interested in
applications from candidates whose specialist interests overlap with
and complement existing research strengths and priorities in the
department of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies, and in the School
of Histories, Languages and Cultures. <br /><br />In Peninsular
Spanish Studies, in order to enhance our existing research focus on
the plurilingual and pluricultural nature of contemporary Spanish
society, we are particularly interested in applicants whose specialism
is in any of the following areas: Hispanic Linguistics, Basque,
Catalan or Galician Studies.<br /><br />In Latin American Studies we
are looking for a specialist who can deliver teaching in Latin
American politics/cultural politics, possibly at the intersections
with sociology and anthropology, and who will lead on research methods
