/><b>Descripción</b><br /><p>El tema central del VIII Congreso
Internacional de Lingüística Misionera es<br />"Esfuerzos de
normalización y codificación de las lenguas indoamericanas en el
contexto de la evangelización del periodo colonial (siglos XVI -
XVIII)"<br /><br />Entre los temas esperados, sugerimos los
siguientes:<br />- Selección y elaboración de las variedades
lingüísticas descritas. Variedades regionales, variedades estándar.
Lenguas francas y su implementación.<br />- La tradición descriptiva
europea en los trabajos lingüísticos de los misioneros.<br />-
Elaboración léxica e ideología evangelizadora.<br />- Propuestas,
implementación y desarrollo de la ortografía con el alfabeto latino
para las lenguas amerindias.<br />- Reflejos y vigencia de las
descripciones lingüísticas en la producción textual misionera en
lenguas aborígenes. Problemas de traducción y desarrollo
estilístico.<br />- Debates sobre el uso de las lenguas aborígenes
en la evangelización.<br />- Conformación y vigencia de géneros
textuales y registros escritos en las lenguas amerindias.<br />-
Formación de escritores indígenas.<br />- Contribuciones sobre otros
ámbitos de la Lingüística Misionera, que involucren otras áreas
geográficas (China, Japón, África, etc.) y periodos temporales
posteriores (hasta el siglo XIX).</p><br /><b>Área temática:</b>
Análisis del discurso, Antropología lingüística, Fonología,
Historia de la lingüística, Historiografía lingüística,
Lexicografía, Lexicología, Lingüística histórica, Morfología,
