/><p> Esta obra explora el complejo entramado de poder que se intuye
tras la publicación de la traducción de una obra literaria.
Partiendo de la Sociología Crítica de Pierre Bourdieu, el concepto
de poder de Michel Foucault o el de paratexto de Gérard Genette, así
como de los avances previos realizados por autores como André
Lefevere o Michaela Wolf, María López Ponz explora los
condicionantes socioculturales que influyen en el resultado final de
un proceso de traducción. Para ello, se sirve también de un curioso
caso de estudio: las traducciones duplicadas de diversas obras
pertenecientes a la literatura hispano-estadounidense. Así, las
circunstancias laborales, ideológicas o económicas que rodean el
trasvase salen a la luz en este estudio que sitúa al traductor en el
