/><b>Descripción</b><br /><p> This is an fixed term appointment
working 9 months, running from September to May. The successful
candidate will be expected to be a native Spanish speaker with
teaching experience in Spanish as a second language at university
level. The successful candidate will work closely with the Spanish
Language Coordinator, delivering Spanish oral classes at all levels
and written Spanish grammar classes to students on Years One and Two,
as well as assisting staff with oral exams at all levels of
undergraduate study.<br /><br /><br />Description of Duties<br /><br
/> - Provide a service for the preparation and running of teaching
classes as well as preparation of materials for use in teaching. Also
providing support to academic staff and students.<br /> - Providing
specialist lab support to the undergraduate students.<br /> -
Conducting and assessing undergraduate group oral examination in Years
1 and 2.<br /> - Assisting academic staff with oral examinations in
Years 3 and 4 (invigilation and member of assessment panel for orals
in semesters 7 & 8).<br /> - Marking some written assessments and
examinations.<br /> - Carry out any other duties within the scope,
spirit and purpose of the post and its grading as requested by the
line manager.<br /><br />Essential Criteria<br /><br /> - Possession
of a relevant, good quality first degree.<br /> - Native Spanish
speaker.<br /> - Teaching skills and experience at Higher Education
level relevant to oral and written Spanish classes at all levels.<br
/> - Effective communication and presentation skills in both Spanish
and English.<br /> - Ability and willingness to contribute to the
professional life of the Division as a whole.<br /> - Demonstrable
commitment to the enhancement of the quality of learning and
