<ol>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>The Technology Innovation Center is a national grant-funded operation that aims at improving and innovating technology use across all Language Flagship Programs, hosted at 22 selected institutions of higher education in the U.S. The center seeks a motivated individual with a critical view of the role of technology in language education and a keen interest in making an impact on how technology can improve language learning and instruction. This position is based in the Center for Language & Technology at the University of Hawaii and reports to the Technology Innovation Center Co-directors.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Serve as the programmatic lead for the Language Flagship Technology Innovation Center; provide leadership in the development and management of the Center’s academic and research endeavors.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Identify and develop collaborations with partners in academia, the private sector, and/or government to develop strategies and projects that are aligned with the mission of the Technology Innovation Center.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Develop and implement strategies to expand the Technology Innovation Center’s community and identity through the creation of innovative marketing plans (including social media), and diffusion of language technologies.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Analyze data, prepare reports and disseminate results of the Technology Innovation Center projects to The Language Flagship funding agency and other stakeholders.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Develop and maintain database of quantitative records of the Center projects and partners to conduct program evaluation and grant reporting to funding agencies.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Facilitate collaboration between language technology faculty (project directors, education technology specialists, second language acquisition specialists, etc) in The Language Flagship programs in 22 institutions of higher education across the U.S..</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Develop protocols for testing the success of educational interventions and provide specialized instructional support and training to faculty working in the Technology Innovation Center supported projects in all phases of technology project design and development (front­-end analysis, implementation, evaluation, and revisions).</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Research and test new technologies and advise in their implementation and use in the context of language learning.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Organize professional events, such as symposia, conferences, workshops, webinars, etc. Disseminate Center activities at professional events.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Seek and obtain extramural funding to support the Technology Innovation Center, including the renewal of funding.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Mentor graduate and undergraduate students on projects for the Technology Innovation Center.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Other scholarly duties as assigned.</span></li>

<p style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Minimum Qualifications</span></p>
<ol>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>MA in instructional technology, applied linguistics, second language studies, or related field from a college or university of recognized standing.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>One year of experience in program management or its equivalent represented by successful practice in the appropriate field.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Demonstrated knowledge of the issues and trends in the area of technology integration into instruction.</span></li>
<li style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial"><span>Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and market events and programs.</span></li>
