Call for Papers


All the concerned,

The Department of Applied Linguistics, Governement College University
Faisalabad (GCUF) Pakistan, in collaboration with the Higher Education
Commission of Pakistan (HEC) will jointly host the *5th* International
Conference of the Linguistic Association of Pakistan (*ICLAP 2019*)
between *6-8
November, 2019, *in* Faisalabad.*

The theme of this year's conference is ''Language Study: Global Debates and
Indigenous Perspectives''. This conference aims to explore novelty in
methods and methodologies employed in the study of languages globally - the
challenges it undertakes, the myths it breaks, how it deals with factors
such as globalisation and marginalisation, from what perspectives languages
may be approached, and finally how language analysis may finally provide
input to the teaching of languages in general and English language in
particular.

Researchers are invited to submit abstracts of their papers on original and
unpublished research work on any aspect of theoretical or applied
linguistics for presentation in the conference by *Monday, 10 June 2019 *via

https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iclap2019). Abstracts should be
written in English and the size of an abstract should not exceed 350 words
excluding title, keywords and references. Please follow the Guidelines for
Abstracts, given on the webpage.

All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in the conference
book and selected full papers (after peer-review) will be published in
the *Pakistan
Journal of Language Studies (PJLS) *- a peer-reviewed journal published by
the Department of Applied Linguistics, Government College University
Faisalabad (GCUF).
