[LAP] Programming for Linguists

Dear All,

There will be a one 40 (or 80 minute) session on learning programming. In
the modern world, the scholars of every filed and branch of knowledge
should know a little bit of programming that enable them to analyze the
data of their field.

Programming is very easy to learn, and it can be learnt by people of every
age and education.

This online session will deal introduce the following using *Python on
Google Colab*. (You need only a gmail account to start running the code.)

1) Variables, Functions, Objects, Lists, Iteration
2) Using language processing libraries e.g. Spacy and NLTK etc.
