[Lexicog] dictionary software

While not a comparison of available lexicography software, the EMELD 2002
"Workshop on Digitizing Lexical Information" may make interesting reading.
Some of the papers discuss what makes a good or bad lexicon program (and in
particular, a few of the papers tell why the authors chose to roll their own
programs). The papers are at:

http://saussure.linguistlist.org/cfdocs/emeld/workshop/2002/papers02.html

I should add that the viewpoint of all the papers is minority languages, and
(relatively) small lexicons. The needs of a lexicographer working on a
large commercial dictionary are doubtless quite different from the needs of
someone working on a minority language. This is not a reflection of the
"size" of the language, but on the stage in the process at which the
lexicographer finds himself.

There is of course lots of other good stuff on lexicography (and other
computational work) in minority languages at the EMELD site.
