I'm not sure if f I understood your question correctly, but the latest
issure of MacAddict has an article "Tanks for Your Memories" that explains
the differences between all the different memory cards.

They're all product names introduced by different companies: CompactFlash
(SanDisk), Memory Stick (Sony), Microdrive (IBM) eXtrem Digital Picture
Cards (Fuji & Olympus) SD and MMC cards (SanDisk and Siemens)
