[Lexicog] Equivalents for German "Heimat"

Hallo Fritz,

A minor note. "tehuis" is mainly used for "home" as in "orphan's
home" etc. The Heimat-warmth comes with the word "thuis" (with
the "h" not pronounced).
Both words derive from the phrase "te huis"; cf German "zu Hause".
Especially "tehuis" functions as an ordinary noun. In as much
as "thuis" can be used as a noun rather than an adverb, it is at any
rate a singulare tantum.
"geboortestreek" is emotionally neutral; "bakermat" has a definite
poetic flavour" ;  "vaderland" has patriotic flavour and is little
used.
