Hi:

Mike's ugly word "orientate" is quite a popular word
at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica. At
the begin of the year the programme that seniors plan
for freshers is to "orientate" them, not to orient
them

Joseph

"Orientate". There, I knew if I didn't think about
it, I would think of
it! And doubtless prompted by the similarity of your
"revocate". Both
ugly words if ever I heard one.
