[Lexicog] Onomatopoeia

I think this would depend on one's definition of  "onomatopeia". I would
consider verbs like "to chirp" (German: zirpen) or "to chirk" (German:
zwitschern) onomatopoeitic words. They made it into the dictionary. For them
no further information is necessary in my opinion. Probably you refer to
sound-imitating words like "boom"(imitating the sound of a gun) or "plop"
(the sound of something falling into water). Could you give some examples of
what kind of words you are referring to?

Does anyone have suggestions as to how to include information about
onomatopoeitic words? What field should this go under?
