[Lexicog] Collaborative lexicography software?

Thanks for a very good description Ron. However, didn't the
development team think of using other frameworks instead of .NET? I
mean, using that framework doesn't seem to be compatible with the idea
of open source, with the originators of the framework keeping the
decision of the standard closed :)

Any way, this is a lexicography list, so I don't think this is the
right forum for such questions to be answered, and I'm not pressing
for answers. If I remember correctly too, FieldWorks was also built on
top of the .NET framework.
