Dear Margaret,

I have received cited message, but I label as "spam" all unknown messages.

Take care!

As a member of this list - I will not be staying long as it is not
very relevant to my interests - I just received a message from an
alleged fellow-list- member, 'Nick', inviting me to join Grouply. I
suspect the message was automatically generated.

As far as I can tell, Grouply is a social network that will probably
harvest all the Lexicography List messages and files once it has the
name and password of one member. Here are two links:

http://message. snopes.com/ showthread. php?p=508572

http://groups. google.com/ group/bit. listserv. edtech/browse_ thread/thread/ c6d36bed3c0b810a /9a52e6d5ca5e084 e?pli=1

It appears that Grouply targets Yahoo and our messages will cease to be private.

Perhaps this member could be banned from the list if this turns out to
be the case (I haven't got time to research it further at the moment).

Regards

Margaret Marks
