According to the investigations of  Barnhart (1962),  Béjoint (1981) , Tomaszczyk (1979) and other the dictionary users are interested in definitions, usage examples and spelling not in etymology.

Are you aware of existing etymological dictionaries of Romance languages 
and etymological dictionaries of separate Romance languages?
