Hi all,

I'm sending this on behalf of one of SIL's anthropologists, Dr. Thomas
Headland. You'll see the message below. Please DO NOT hit "Reply" but DO
correspond directly with Tom Headland (email below). Thanks!

******************************************

BACKGROUND:
I got some nice news today in an email from anthropology professor H
Russell Bernard (U Florida) who is also the editor in chief of the
prestigious anthro journal titled FIELD METHODS. His email to me today
said, "I've commissioned a review of SIL's FieldWorks package."

However, Bernard also said, "We won't be reviewing the [FLEx] component for
building dictionaries, though. If you know of people who might review that,
please do let me know."

In other words, his present reviewer won't be reviewing the part of the
package called "SIL FieldWorks Language Explorer" (FLEx). That's the second
part of the two-part suite, but he/she will only review the FieldWorks Data
Notebook half of the suite (the data management tool for
cultural/ethnographic data).

BERNARD'S QUESTION:
Bernard is asking me for names of people who might be willing to review the
FLEx part of the suite. He doesn't state it, but the person of course
cannot have a "conflict of interest," meaning they should not be a member
of SIL. What I need is the names of a few people outside of SIL who have
used the FLEx for compiling a dictionary. Or at least someone who is
familiar with FLEx? Someone whose name I can suggest to Bernard?

If you can suggest any names for me to forward to Bernard, please send them
to me with the contact information. Or tell me who might be able to help me
answer his question.

Thanks so much,

Tom H
