[Lexicog] Is there anyone who is interested in supervising a Ph.D student in Lexicography?

It seems difficult to pursue a Ph.D. study in lexicography because it is a relatively unnoticed linguistic field in many universities. I took a two years' M.A. program of Lexicography in China and fell in love with it. I wish I could further my study as a Ph.D. student in lexicography, however, finding a suitable supervisor is much more difficult than I expected. Some scholars whose research interests listed on the websites cover lexicography refused me by saying lexicography is not their major research interests or even suggested that I'd better change my research orientation in order to get more chances. What can I do now? Do I have to abandon my dream and change my research orientation? Who can help me? Thank you very much!
