Lexicography: Journal of ASIALEX

Special theme for Vol. 3, No. 1 (June, 2016): Korean Lexicography

In 2016 Lexicography: Journal of ASIALEX (Volume 3, Issue 1) will devote a
special section to the theme of Korean Lexicography. Contributions related
to lexicography-theoretical, practical, and pedagogical-involving the Korean
language are all very welcome. Topics may include, but are not limited to,
those listed below. The issue will include papers on other topics in the
regular section.

Suggested topics for the special section:

l Dictionary research in relation to the Korean language/lexicography:
history, criticism, typology, use, etc.;

l Any type of dictionaries for diverse user backgrounds: monolingual,
multilingual, bilingual or biligualised dictionaries in Korean and any
language pairs;

l  Compilation or description of Korean language data;

l Contrastive linguistics and implications for the development of bilingual
lexicographical data;

l Compilation or exploitation of Korean-monolingual/parallel/multilingual
corpora;

l Lexicography in relation to the teaching of Korean as a foreign/second
language in local/national/international contexts;

l Electronic dictionaries and dictionary IT with special reference to the
Korean language and language learning in Korea.

Please note that the submission of a 500-word abstract is required for the
special section. The abstract submission deadline is 30 November 2015, and
notice of acceptance will be made by 20 December 2015. Notice of acceptance
based on the abstract does not automatically ensure the publication of the
full paper, which has to go through an additional peer review. Full paper
submission will be due on 15 March 2016. The schedule can be summarized as
follows:
