Huddleston and Pullum's Cambridge Grammar of the English Language,
which is certainly more than dictionary-like in its scope and depth
(highly recommended to all of you if you don't know it) says "it is
plausible to suggest that <i>come</i> has been reanalysed as a
preposition" (p. 636 -- this is only 1/3 of the way through this
book...).<br>
