Prussian officer bellowing commands. Maybe an occasional "Achtung!" or "Still
gestanden!</FONT></SPAN></TT></DIV>

But I do remember how "Hogan's Heroes" came across in Germany a

first version all the characters speak high German which did not make

However, when Colonel Klink speaks Schwäbisch and Sergeant Shultz

class=781184712-25082005><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff> Bavarian that made
all the difference. The series was a roaring success! Those who know

color=#0000ff>difference between the two dialects in German and have seen the
series will immediately </FONT></SPAN></TT></DIV>
