hi there -<DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><SPAN class="Apple-style-span">I decided to look at various Tibetan translations of "happy-go-lucky" and discovered but one, namely <I>snang ba skyid po</I> - which is interesting because it describes a person whose appearance (<I>snang ba</I>) is happy (<I>skyid po</I>). This of course could be a retrospective translation by the English lexicographers, or else it could (conceivably) be a neologism: there's no historical etymological record. Nonetheless, it gives another perspective.</SPAN></DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><SPAN class="Apple-style-span">Re, like, the idea of "go" meaning "say", could anyone out there confirm that one can use <I>aller</I> in French for <I>to say</I> - ie <<I>et il va, "je vais chez moi"</I>>.
