But this is a different issue from McDonalds trying to protect their
brand name. I think they are trying to establish a defamation of
character case against the use of McJob. But they are going after the
wrong people IMO in going after the dictionary makers. Dictionary
makers just report the usage. They don't make it up (do they?). They
really need to sue the person who first coined the term McJob and prove
that it is short for McDonald Job, and then demonstrate that a job with
McDonalds doesn't fit this description. McDonalds say they have polled
the British public and 68% think McJob is an unfair description of a
McDonald job.<br>

But what if someone coined the term "McFood" meaning 'junk food', would
McDonalds sue them?<br>
