Hi Loig,

I don't think you'll be able to accomplish all that you're looking
for in Lexique Pro. It's designed for the "MDF" dictionary encoding
system, and works well for data that conforms to that system. But as
far as I know it doesn't have any provision for customizing the
layout to meet the needs of other dictionary encoding systems. There
is some flexibility in that it can be configured to change the set
of markers used. (see "Tools; Configure; Data Source; Field Markers
tab") For instance, instead of \ge for the English gloss, you could
readily make it \gl, or something else that better matches your
data. Then having identified it as an English gloss, you can control
some aspects of what it will look like in the formatted dictionary
view - the font, size, and special features like bold or italics
(see "Tools; Configure; Formatting; English; Gloss Change Format").
But as far as I know, this is as far as you can go in customizing
things. I believe the ordering of the various parts of the entry is
hardcoded into Lexique Pro in accordance with the MDF encoding
system.

I don't have full answers to your specific questions, but I'll
attempt to address them below -
I've downloaded Lexique Pro and I have some problems with
If you put a number into the \sn field, the number should show up in
View mode. But the \sn won't show up. I don't think there's any way
to make it show up. Similar for other fields. If the field is
defined in the marker set for your project (see "Tools; Configure;
Data Source; Field Markers tab"), then its data should appear in
View mode. But the field markers won't show up.

I don't think so. You can go as far as defining font, size, and
style of a given field, but the indentations, line breaks etc. seem
to be hard-coded into Lexique Pro.

No, I don't think so. Not in Lexique Pro. Lexique Pro is assuming
that your data is meant to be MDF, so arranges it in the way that
would make sense for that dictionary encoding system. If you can get
your data into Fieldworks, that might provide the flexibility you're
looking for. It does allow you to configure the layout, including
which fields to display, and in what order (In in Fieldworks
Language Explorer go to "Tools; Configure; Dictionary"). And then
using a program called "Pathway", the dictionary can be exported to
OpenOffice/LibreOffice for printing, retaining the layout that
you've already configured.
