@Tots, my phd thesis was a corpus linguistics research investigating French core collocations but in the futue I'd prefer to work with my native language, Italian (or in a comparative/intercultural perspective involving Italian). I was lucky to explore Italian from different persectives. My favourite ones are teaching, lexicography, and more recently NLP. I mostly dealt with semantics' issues. I am told to be a practical thinker, what I would not disagree about. I hope that my answer won't sound too generic to you. I guess that in the future I'll make a more specific choice, but at the moment I feel I can make only 2 true statements : I'd like to work with Italian and in semantics. Thanks for your interest. Best,Veronica.
@Anne, thanks for your interest in receiving my cv. I'm happy that my post got your attention. I'll send you a private message attaching my cv. Berlusconi had so many inappropriate talks that this one escaped to me...:)
At the moment, I am looking for post-doc positions or job opportunities in lexicography/NLP and related areas. Unfortunately, I have not found the position that suits to me yet. Then, I decided to introduce myself in this group to ask if you know of any open positions/opportunities that might be of interest to me. I am an Italian native, fluent in English and French, and with some German. My phd research was a corpus-based study on French phraseology that made use of scripts Perl in order to investigate a lemmatized web-derived corpus assembled through automated procedures crawling the Web. I have been working 7 years as lexicographer on the Dizionario combinatorio compatto italiano, published by John Benjamins Publishing Company > http://benjamins.com/#catalog/books/z.171, and have work experience in information extraction, translation, proof-reading, teaching. Thanks a lot for your help! Best, VERONICA.
