>>>>> THE DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS IS EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 20th

The Third International Conference on Construction Grammar will take place
at the Université de Provence, Marseille, France, July 7-10, 2004.

The conference is a follow-up on the Second International Conference on
Construction Grammar held in Helsinki in September 2003. In line with
the aim of the second conference, we hope that ICCG3 will continue to
serve as a forum for promoting discussion and collaboration among linguists
interested in Construction Grammar, as well as in related constructional
research in its various models and applications. We would like to put a
special emphasis on establishing the link between a descriptive approach
to linguistic phenomena, especially as they emerge from authentic data,
and their formalisation, as well as their automatic implementation.

Confirmed plenary speakers include:

. Laura Michaelis (U. of Colorado)
  . Ivan Sag (Stanford)
  . Mirjam Fried (Princeton)
. Hans Boas (U. of Texas)
  . Dominique Willems (Gand)
  . Anne Abeillé (Paris VII)
  . Claire Blanche-Benveniste (EPHE, Paris)

The conference is organized by the DELIC and the LPL, Université de
Provence, the organizing committee being headed by Henri-José Deulofeu (UP)
and Philippe Blache (CNRS).
