The Department of Linguistics at the University at Buffalo anticipates
hiring a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level
beginning Fall 2005.  We are looking for a specialist in Computational
Linguistics; subspeciality is open.  The department has a strong
cognitive-science focus, with broad theoretical diversity.  The
successful applicant will be expected to contribute to Cognitive Science
at UB and to the interdisciplinary Linguistics/Computer Science and
Engineering MS in Computational Linguistics.  He/she will be expected to
teach introductory and advanced courses at the undergraduate and
graduate levels. Research and teaching competence in computational
linguistics is required.  Ph.D. must be completed by September 1, 2005.
