Post-Doctoral Position in the

Partnership International for Research and Education (PIRE)
===========================================================

at Saarland University, Saarbruecken, Germany 

PIRE is pleased to announce the availability of a two-year 
post-doctoral position available from March/April, 2008. The program, 
established in 2006, is a collaborative program between 
Saarland University, Charles University Prague, Brown University and
Johns Hopkins University.

The ideal candidate for the post-doctoral position will have research
interests in

- language modelling
- statistical natural language processing
- information retrieval
- question answering

or related areas.

Candidates must have completed all requirements for their PhD degree by 
the time of appointment. In addition to the opportunity  to carry out
independent and collaborative research, the position also includes some
administrative duties associated with the program. Some teaching is also
possible, but not a requirement of the post. The position comes with
access to state-of-the-art computing facilities, and the possibility to
use the range of lab facilities on-site. Support for travel to
conferences is also available.

will be considered as they are received so interested candidates are
