<br>Greetings, <br><br>I am looking for work on extraposed subordinate clauses associated with 'clausal replacement' pronouns, as in the so-called 'pseudocomplement construction' in a-b below. I'm actually working on this phenomenon in Hungarian but references on any language would be welcome. <br><br>a) <b>That John was unhappy</b> was clear<br> <b>It</b> was clear <b>that John was unhappy</b>.<br><br>b) John made <b>that he was unhappy</b> clear.<br> John made <b>it</b> clear <b>that he was unhappy</b>. <br> <br>Thanks for your help!<br>Beverly Anderson<br><p>
