<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=windows-1252"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div><br></div><div>The University Paris Diderot is looking for candidates for a full professor position in Syntax and its interfaces.<br><br>The candidate should have experience in teaching and research in theoretical and empirical syntax. S/he should already hold a tenured professor position or be registered on the French national qualification lists before October 24th 2013.<br><br>S/he should have expertise in contemporary syntactic theories and will be responsible for a research program studying the interfaces of syntax with other grammar components such as the lexicon, morphology, semantics or discourse/dialogue. An interest in cross-linguistic variation would be a plus<br><br>The candidate is expected to join the Laboratoire de linguistique formelle (<a href="http://www.llf.cnrs.fr/">http://www.llf.cnrs.fr</a>) and to participate in the laboratoire d’excellence Empirical foundations of Linguistics (<a href="http://www.labex-efl.org/">http://www.labex-efl.org/</a>).<br><br>S/he will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Linguistics department (<a href="http://www.linguist.univ-paris-diderot.fr">http://www.linguist.univ-paris-diderot.fr</a>) as well as in the PhD Program (<a href="http://www.linguist.univ-paris-diderot.fr/ed.html">http://www.linguist.univ-paris-diderot.fr/ed.html</a>). A working knowledge of French is expected.<br><br>This is a permanent life-time position with a civil servant status.
