<div>Corpus Linguistics Fest (CLiF) is a one-week summer school featuring three courses in corpus linguistics, combined with a final day of presentations. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>The Corpus Linguistics Fest (CLiF) at Indiana University will be a week-long effort to provide a space for linguists, psycholinguists, computational linguists, and anyone else wishing to explore the use of corpus data and to understand the methodologies
and practices of Corpus Linguistics. In addition to the presentations on Friday, participants will have chances to develop skills in theoretical and practical sessions Monday-Thursday through courses on:</div>

<div>* Statistical methods for corpora (using R) (Amir Zeldes)</div>
<div>* Tools for annotating and searching corpora (Stefanie Dipper)</div>
<div>* Learner corpora and Second Language Acquisition research (Anke Lüdeling)</div>

<div>With the relaxed environment of the fest, the small collegiate town (Bloomington, IN), and the friendly discussions covering a range of expertise, students and researchers are sure to have a stimulating week.</div>

<div>For the final day of the fest, we seek papers representing in-progress or completed work from all areas of corpus linguistics. Young researcher and student submissions are especially welcome.</div>

<div>Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following topics:</div>

</div>
<div>- Corpus linguistic studies of linguistic phenomena</div>
<div>- Methodological issues in using corpora in linguistics</div>
<div>- The interface between corpus linguistics and linguistic theory</div>
<div>- Corpus annotation (morpho-syntactic, syntactic, semantic, pragmatic, etc.)</div>
<div>- Automatic annotation</div>
<div>- Applications of corpora in the humanities</div>
<div>- Using corpora for language learning/teaching</div>
<div>- The use of corpora in discourse analysis and computer-mediated communication</div>

<div>Authors should submit full papers, either a 4-page (short) or 8-page (long) paper, excluding references. All submissions must be in PDF format and must follow the TACL style guidelines. Style files can be found at: https://tacl2013.cs.columbia.edu/tacl-submission-templates/. </div>

<div>Reviewing will be double-blind, and thus no author information should be included in the papers; self-reference should be avoided as well. Papers that do not conform to these requirements will be rejected without review. Accepted papers will appear in
the workshop (online) proceedings.</div>
