Institut (Linguistics Department) of
Ruhr-Universität Bochum invites applications for the part time
position of a researcher for three years (TVL-E-13, 65 %, starting
date 01.03.2017, no teaching obligations) in the DFG funded
project “Position and interpretation of adverbial PPs in German
clause structure” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tibor Kiss.<br>

expect a background in either the syntax-semantics interface, or
specifically in the semantics of prepositions. The project is
aiming at theoretical, corpus-based and experimental approaches to
the interaction between syntactic positions and interpretations of
adverbial PPs. Hence, a good knowledge in corpus linguistics or
experimental methods (judgment studies and interpretation studies)
in addition to a background in theoretical linguistics would be
highly welcome.<br>

M.A. in Linguistics is a prerequisite for the position, we expect
that the researcher will work on and ideally finish a PhD
project related to the issues at hand.<br>
