Subject: International Network for Educational Linguistics as a
Discipline (INFELAD)

Dear All

Would you be interested in joining an International Network for Educational
Linguistics as a Discipline (INFELAD)?

You would probably ask:

1) Why such a network?
2) Would it be necessary?
3) What would be its purposes?
4) What would be its distinctive contributions?
5) How would it differ from some other similar networks?

These are indeed some of the questions which should be explored further.
What are *your* own views on these questions?

It would be very encouraging if any of you could contribute your ideas to
any aspect of this proposed network for educational linguistics.

Those who are currently members of any of the following applied linguistics
organizations would be particularly welcome to contribute your thoughts
though the discussion is very much open to all!
