Dear Lg. Policy list members:

I have been reading the recent posting by Lewis, Paulston, Fishman, Blommaert,
etc. over the last few days with keen interest.

Would anyone care to prepare an organized discussion on them? Perhaps either
an on-line workshop like those conducted successfully for a few years by the
Language and Culture group at Rochester? Or finding a conference venue or
holding a one-day workshop. That this discussion began over the annoyance of
monolingual mindsets about language(s) and language use is a sign of the need
for more work on contemporary approaches in the study of multilingualism...

Regards,

Rachel Reynolds
