I've been following Gaelic's fortunes with interest for a few years.  I wish
I had some encouraging news.  Ireland has invested heavily in Irish, and
what does it have to show for it?  Could it be that Scotland looked across
the Channel and decided that legislation didn't work?  1,500 years ago,
Irish supplanted what?  Pictish?
