Ladin, Friulian, Romansh: cline?

I wonder what the relationship is between Ladin,
Friulian and Romansh--as linguists see it and in
terms of lay perspectival linguistics. Is there
any tendency, in either camp, to see them as
three dialects (each with further dialects of its
own) in terms akin to Heinz Kloss' "roofless
dialects"? If so, is there any movement toward
providing a roof via an interdialectal standard?
