SECOND SYMPOSIUM ON LANGUAGE POLICY
“Language Policy in Mexico and Latin America”

August 10 to 12, Mexico City

The purpose of the symposium is to identify and analyze the various related to
language policy and planning. We invite researchers who are working on these
or related areas to share there research experiences within the following
topics:

Educational planning
Identity and power
Intercultural communication
Micro-level language planning
Language rights
Language shift, maintenance and revitalization
Media
Deadline for abstracts (not more than 250 words) 15 th April 2005
