Seminar on official language

BELGAUM: The Corporation Bank organised a seminar on Official Language
Policy of Government of India and its Implementation to mark the
celebration of its centenary year in Belgaum on Friday. V D Parmar,
commissioner, Income Tax, and chairman of Town Official Language
Implementation Committee, Belgaum, inaugurated the seminar.

Speaking on the occasion, he said Indias language policy should imbibe and
convey national integration. Discussions on various topics including
recent software in Indian languages, were organised in the seminar. Dr
Jayashankar Yadhav was present on the occasion. Prof G K Shukla, Dr K I
Sattigeri and Vijaya Kulkarni spoke on various topics. Students of
Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2, Belgaum, presented cultural items.

Delegates from Central government offices, banks, insurance companies and
PSUs attended the seminar. K V Nayak, assistant general manager of the
bank, presided over the function. H Dundiraj Bhat, chief manager, welcomed
and Dr M J Patel proposed a vote of thanks.
