Al-Attar Underlines Importance of Promoting Arabic Language

DAMASCUS, (SANA) -Vice President Najah al-Attar underlined Thursday the
importance of promoting the Arabic Language since "it is the house of
nation and existence, "Meeting the committee assigned to put a national
work plan to upgrade the Arabic Language, Dr. al-Attar added that "the
committee's mission has a national, social and pan-Arab dimensions based
on the truth that the Arab nation couldnt be cohered but by the language,"

Arabic Language, Dr. al-Attar added that "the committee's mission has a

nation couldnt be cohered but by the language,"  She indicated the
significance of promoting the Arabic Language in all different fields of
public life in Syria starting from the very beginning stages of education
till university.  The Vice President voiced hope that the national work
plan will turn into an Arab project of a pan-Arab open horizon.

 "This project would be promoted by the Arab cultural institutions that
are concerned with cooperation among the Arab countries in cooperation
with Arab League, Arab Organization For Education and Culture and Islamic
Organization." Al-Attar added. "This project would be promoted by the Arab

and Culture and Islamic Organization." Al-Attar added. The committee is
due to accomplish a national work plan aiming at preserving the Arabic
Language and upgrading it in addition to following up steps of
implementing the plan in cooperation with the interested sides in Syria.
