New Education Minister 'prepared to tackle the problems'



After a three-year performance by Kakha Lomaia and just one-month of
work by Maia Miminoshvili, Gia Nodia, political scientist and Director
of the Caucasian Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development, has
become the newest Minister of Education. The opposition met Nodia's
appointment to this position just as negatively as when Kakha Lomaia
took up the job earlier. What are Nodia's plans? How will he do things
differently, or will he continue his predecessor's course and complete
Lomaia's reforms? What will he change in our educational system and is
he ready to overcome some serious obstacles?
