Regional language schools could teach Maths in English

Mumbai, January 3 Observing the declining demand for non-English
medium schools especially in Mumbai, the Education Department of the
state government is offering a new way to rope in more students,
perhaps targeting families wishing to tread the middle path between
regional language education and an education in English-medium. So,
from the next academic year (2008-2009), students from Standards I to
IV in all non-English medium schools can opt to study Science and Math
in the English language.
