Yes, and the American Enterprise Institute affiliation is another  
giveaway.  I didn't realize that Gelernter (one of the targets maimed  
by the Unabomber, btw), was so reactionary.  But what strikes me in  
addition is this little phrase buried in the diatribe:

"because English is the communal, emotional, and intellectual net  
that holds this nation together, if anything can."
