New Co-editor for Studies in Bilingualism

John Benjamins Publishing is pleased to announce that Robert DeKeyser
(University of Maryland) has agreed to succeed Kees de Bot as co-editor of
Studies in Bilingualism.

Robert DeKeyser is Professor of Second Language Acquisition at the
University of Maryland at College Park. He has a Ph.D. in Education with a
minor in Linguistics from Stanford University. His research is on second
language acquisition, with emphasis on cognitive-psychological aspects.
Some of his favorite topics are interlanguage variability, monitoring
processes, automatization of second language grammar, the effect of age of
learning and other individual differences, the relationship between
implicit and explicit learning and knowledge, and psycholinguistic and
sociolinguistic aspects of bilingualism. He has published in a variety of
journals, including Language Learning, Studies in Second Language
Acquisition, Language Testing, The Modern Language Journal, TESOL
Quarterly, and AILA Review. Also among his publications is a book published
by Cambridge University Press, entitled ‘Practice in a second language:
Perspectives from Applied Linguistics and Cognitive Psychology’.

Robert DeKeyser (rdkumd.edu) will co-edit the Studies in Bilingualism
series together with Dalila Ayoun (ayounu.arizona.edu).
