English fever takes hold of pre-school education



A ballet teacher watches over a handful of kids on a recent weekday as
they stretch in front of the wall-length mirror in the dance studio.

It looks like a regular dance class except the tutor, a bilingual
Korean-American, issues instructions mainly in English, and Korean
when necessary.

The kids aged four to seven later take classes on making rice cakes
and sessions on violin, painting and gym start later in the day.

Again, all in English.
