British Council Chief Wants New Focus for English Teaching



The British Council director in Korea says English education in this
country tends to be overly exam-oriented. Roland Davies, who came to
Korea in August to take up the post, has taught English around the
world for two decades since he took up his first teaching job in
Istanbul in 1989. He has worked in many countries including Brazil,
Japan and Singapore.
