FWIW (for those who are members of Facebook), there is a vote on Facebook
as to which charities Chase Community Giving should give a share of US$5m
to:

http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/charities/910733

It's a long shot, but they will give $1m to the top-voted charity and less
to a few others. Voting ends today - December 12 - at 11.59pm EST, though.
