   Dear friends of ELF,
   Those of you in the New York area may be interested in an event
sponsored by the Trace Foundation, held on International Mother
Language Day:

http://www.trace.org/pressroom_lecture_series_1a.html

The workshop is entitled "Minority Language in Today's Global
Society: Perspectives in Mother Tongue Education" and has
presentations by Shawo Dondrup (Trace Foundation); François Grin
(University of Geneva); Nangsal Tenzin Norbu (Columbia University);
Tove Skutnabb-Kangas, (University of Roskilde and Åbo Akademi

If you plan to go, they request that you register.
