To Lgpolicy-list members: I'm forwarding this because of the possibility
of papers on language  policy in prayer, which there have been several
postings about on this list in the past years, notably the Southern Baptist
policy on glossolalia, i.e. 'speaking in tongues.'

Inviting abstracts for a panel presentation on the topic of prayer
including, but not limited to the following themes:

Language Ideologies surrounding Prayer (e.g. what does prayer do in
different contexts?)
Prayer in the Medical Context (or Prayer and Healing)
Prayer as Performance / Ritual / Verbal Art
The Experiential and Psychological Aspects of Prayer
Prayer as Embodied Communication
